Update seminar mediated learning experiance (MLE) 2 minggu lepas. Rasanya majoriti yg hadir bersetuju dgn me .. it was a great seminar ... congratulations to the organiser. Terharu dengan pencapaian adik Abu Talhah yang mendapat 4A5B+ dalam SPM. Tahniah & kagum dengan semangat ibunya Puan Wan Chik (kebetulan duduk semeja dgn me dlm seminar) yg sanggup meninggalkan kerjaya beliau di syarikat multinasional demi menguruskan dua orang anak yang amat istimewa. Me selalu baca dan dengar kisah kejayaan anak istimewa, tapi melihat beliau di hadapan me dan peluang berbicara dgn si ibu betul2 memberi semangat untuk me terus membimbing Luqman.

Agak berbeza dgn kebanyakan teori yang me dapat about autism from specialist. Most of them believed there is no cure for autism.The founder of MLE Dr Reuven Feurstein believed that:
“Intelligence is not a static structure, but an open, dynamic system that can continue to develop throughout life"
“The concept of mediated learning experience, which we describe as the proximal determinant of differential cognitive development, is based on the assumption that a human development can be neither conceived of as a sole epiphenomenon of neurophysiological maturation nor considered as simply the product of the individual’s chance encounter with and direct exposure to stimuli and his active interaction with them. In addition to these determinants, it is by the flow of information transmitted to the individual by a process of mediation through channels produced by mediation itself that higher mental functions are developed. It is the mediation process itself that constructs both its content and structure.... Implied by the concept of mediated learning experience is an intergenerational relationship determined by the strong need for ensuring continuity beyond the biological existence of the individual. Cultural and spiritual continuity are materialized in a variety of ways and situations. The psychologist has seldom been concerned with the integration of cultural transmission within the process of learning, leaving the definition of modalities of cultural transmission and its teleological dimensions to the cultural anthropologist” (Feuerstein.1980. p.xvii).

Actually me terlalu teruja dgn MLE ni, banyak yang rasanya nak ditulis, tapi sedar ilmu baru sejengkal, me pun masih di peringkat permulaan.. tapi insyaAllah me akan terus menulis progress Luqman setelah melalui MLE. Now, Luqman dlm waiting list for the evaluation by MLE therapist and insyaAllah akan diteruskan dgn sessi seterusnya.

Coretan mama untuk Luqman :
Mama harap ini permulaan untuk perjalanan Luqman mencari cahaya dlm terowong ini. Mama sentiasa yakin suatu hari nanti Luqman akan berkomunikasi seperti kakak dan abang. Akhir seminar MLE ini, hati mama kuat berkata, inilah ubatnya untuk anakku. Mama pasti suatu hari nanti Luqman akan membaca entri ini seterusnya berkongsi pengalaman indah ini pada anak cucu Luqman.
